Athanor I had listened to Panzerfaust’s older stuff in the past and thought it was a bit boring but with a lot of promise. This album CRUSHES any notion of weakness. Blown away by the power and darkness of the album. The drums and Goliath’s vocals are highlights for me. Listen or die. Favorite track: The Decapitator's Prayer.

bcb723 Got into these albums shortly after the vinyls sold out & have been waiting for a repress ever since. Chapter I is truly overwhelming. The drums & vocals are the obvious highlights. The not so obvious highlight: the lyrics. Track these down & read through as the music takes you on a wave. The directness & understanding sensitivity in the lines of war horror linked with the physicality of the music is a wonder to behold. Beautiful. The McCrae poem reference is the perfect ending statement. Wow... Favorite track: The Men of No Man's Land.

about

The Suns of Perdition I: War, Horrid War is a vicious and abrasive ride straight to the pits of inhumanity. This first chapter of the band's tetralogy examines the malign episodes of this past century, shining a light on difficult subject matter using a begrimed philosophical lens. The resulting synthesis is what George Orwell once described as [a vision of the future] “a boot stamping on a human face forever.”

„Like an anti-tank rocket blowing into your house!“ - ZWAREMETALEN

"War is hell. Black metal hell. Panzerfaust deliver both in one hellish Canadian package."- DECIBEL
